@legalfalcon

How long should the medical be valid for PPR issuance ? If medical expiring in less than 6 months, will ircc ask for a new-medical to issue PPR?
IRCC cannot issue a PR visa beyond the validity of the meds. IRCC can extend the meds or ask for new meds to be submitted if the one on file is expiring. However, the officers have wide discretion when it comes to extending.

It also depends on whether your meds will be extended based on your country of residence and origin.

@legalfalcon : I have received a remedical request (IMM1017E) which I have to complete within thirty days. I have recently changed my address within the same country and informed IRCC as well (although informing IRCC about an address change within the same country is not really required). The medical examination document contains my old address under the client information but I do not stay there anymore. Will this discrepancy be an issue for IRCC or the panel physician? (Last time, the panel physician had sent me the medical report over email).

It will have no impact.

Hello, @legalfalcon
I have applied for PR under CEC, I am still waiting for portal, only background is left. I am under pgwp and my question is I am planning to travel back home end of next month under trv. In this case, suppose if I get my portal before I travel, can I reply to the portal email after I come back to Canada?or will my trv or work permit get cancelled as soon as I get the portal email (or ecopr)? Because to get the PR card for traveling, it takes time. Please advise. Appreciate your input.

Hello @legalfalcon
Hope you're doing well.

As you're the senior most figure I found in here, Kindly help with the following-

In NOC code 0911- Manufacturing Manager, there is a requirement mentioned 5 to 10 years of experience. I wanted to know whether it is compulsory to have this much experience.

Thanks in advance....:)

Hi @legalfalcon

I am expecting PPR in the coming days but the issue is that I need at least 6 months validity on my passport. My passport will expire in Jan 2023 which means that minimum validity of 6 months will end in July 2022. This leaves me with hardly 2 months. Should I renew my passport now or should I renew it after I get my PPR? Also, do I need to inform the case officer about my new passport or do I simply send the new passport for submission after I get my PPR?

Please advise.

Hello @legalfalcon , please help on this thank you.
Your TRV is only cancelled when you are issued a COPR / PR visa. If you are in Canada, as soon as you are issued a COPR, you become a PR and all visas are cancelled.

If you are out of Canada and received a portal confirmation, you can either wait to respond to it until you are back in Canada. If you will be out of Canada for a long duration you can request IRCC to send you a PPR and you can submit your passport in the country you are residing.

For FSW and PNP IRCC has has clearly states:

Minimum work experience requirement
The applicant must have accumulated at least one year of continuous full-time (or the equivalent in part-time) paid work experience in the occupation identified in their application for permanent residence as their primary occupation. In calculating this period of work experience, the occupation must be listed in skill type 0 (Managerial occupations), skill level A (Professional occupations) or skill level B (Technical occupations and skilled trades) of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2016 [R75(2)(a)].
The applicant’s skilled work experience must also
  • have occurred within the ten years preceding the date of their application for permanent residence; and
  • not be in an occupation that has been designated as a restricted occupation.
Note: At the time of publication, no occupations were designated as restricted.
In addition, during that period of employment, the applicant must have
  • performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(b)]; and
  • performed a substantial number of the main duties, including all of the essential duties, of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC [R75(2)(c)].
Note: The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description.

Most likely yes, but to be absolutely sure, you need to check your GCMS notes or call ircc.

If you do not renew, IRCC will not issue you a visa beyond the validity of your passport so you may get only 1-2 months to land. However, if your passport is valid for longer, you may get a longer PR visa giving you more time

After you renew, just send the scanned pages of your passport to the IRCC visa web form.

Currently I am in Canada, before they issure ecopr we need to reply to portal email, once that been done they issue the ecopr, do you think I can reply to the portal email after my travel back to Canada? In this case i will have my trv valid for travel. Please advise Thank you !!

Hi @legalfalcon

Can you kindly send me a sample of what should I write in the following section of the Webform for new passport:

*Please explain in the text box below what the documents are, and why you are adding them to your application. You don’t need to repeat any of the information you included in the fields above. (required)

Please help.
I do not provide any samples. Each application is unique and such questions have to be answered based on your individual circumstances.

That is exactly what I have answered. I am not sure what you are asking when the same has been answered.

@legalfalcon

I have got ADR for Schedule A. From current trends, ADR to PPR timeline can take from few days to 3 months. I am also expecting a baby in 4 weeks and want to include the newborn in the application. Whats the best course of action to avoid further delays.

Should i inform IRCC about it now, so that they will open up placeholders for newborn documents or should i wait till delivery? And what happens if PPR is issued before baby’s delivery

Please advise
