When you fill the form there is a question, do you need a work permit and you have to answer yes. Also they will ask this question again on eligibility interview

You can open a bank account but you will need refugee claimant document or work permit. Driving license you will need address proof and also work permit. If you got acknowledgement of claim letter, then you are eligible for medical coverage under IFHP

Thank you for your reply, I got AOC when applied for refugee in the airport but it is not accepted.
I think they are asking for brown paper when applying for driving licence or opening medical file.

Doctor: March 23, 2022
I sent my application: March 08, 2022.
received the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF CLAIM
on March 10, 2022.

Now I am waiting for the interview to accept my application and get the brown paper.

My concern is ;
1- How long does it take for the government to assign the date for the interview?

2) I will receive the
WP with the brown paper?

did they already take your fingerprints seized passport id etc?

it can take 1-2 years depending on the load but could be sooner

once you receive brown paper the work permit will come in the mail if you applied for it

No, SIN can only be applied when you have got the work permit. unless you have another permit like Study permit then you can apply for SIN until you get your immigration process up to getting the work permit.
