There are quite a lot of big issues going on in the world and in Canada. Inflation, healthcare crisis, housing crisis, cost of living issues, likely recession next year, war in Ukraine that is getting more worrisome as Putin has essentially started drafting people and is backed into a corner so is likely going to becone more unhinged, etc. Canada accepted 30k applications last fall and processing times are closer to 3 years due to backlogs throughout the immigration system, etc. Sone of these issues are major factors in regards to the PGP program like backlogs throughout the whole immigration system and shortage of healthcare workers not to mention increased cost of living. It has only been exactly a year since PGP2022.
