Hi! I'm looking to apply for my sister in law (wife's sister), her husband, 12 yrs old son, 8 yr old daughter to visit us in Toronto for summer vacations of kids. I have invitation letter showing i'm taking care of all expenses including air tickets, my ITRs,

- bank statements ($30k in one bank - recently opened 2 months ago), $7k in one bank (where my salary and expenses come and go), ($6k in another account), ($4k in wife's account), and $7k savings statement, and another $60k in savings investments,
- job letter, T4 for 2021,
- my home ownership (property taxes)
- and all their info showing property in india, both their company's confirming jobs and NOC for travel during holidays and reporting back date, bank statements, letters from schools of both kids confirming their admission and that they have no issue travel to Canada during vacations. Marriage certificates, birth certificates, passport copies of all, and her husband has travel history he travelled to European countries via company business trips. Is all this sufficient or we need something else?

- Is this enough? or do I need anything else?

Can I apply from Canada on their behalf as being them with all their info, and pay with my credit card? or do i apply from Canada on their behalf as a representative (and have them sign the representative form)?

Where are their savings and bank accounts? How long is the visit? Are they vaccinated? You can invite them but they need to show the funds to afford a visit, not you. You paying for everything including airfare is a red flag. If the spouse and children have travel history include it too. The application is processed from India but you can sign off as their representative.

I agree - they have their bank statement of past year, and savings in India, and can get a CA prepared statement of all funds, and I can remove the airfare line from the invitation letter if that will cause a redflag.
Yes - aside from the Covid records, what else would we need to show? My sister in law's husband traveled to Schengen countries on his Schengen visa via his employer for business trips.

How long are they coming for? Their savings must match the length of visit, not you. Include any travel for family members and any visa refusals.

They'll be coming for 2-3 weeks, although I had put 3-4 weeks but due to their jobs they can come for a short time only.
So it doesn't matter how much funds I have, it's all theirs? even if I am supporting all lodging/ boarding etc ?

You can mention your funds but whether it is considered is up to the VO. Only your wife’s sister is considered extended family. Your invitation letter can state that they will stay with you so lodging and food is covered. They need to show that they can support their own visit such as airfare, insurance, food, entertainment/tourist sites, accomodations if visiting elsewhere etc. Their savings should be enough so that they are not using all their savings for a trip to Canada.

In case of Super Visa only your fund and LICO qualification matters . in V V case , you SIL and her family fund matters . sure you can say they will be staying with you.

My Sister in Law's husband checked with his CA, and he says, his bank statement reflects transactions worth $35k-40k annually, where his salary is deposited monthly, and all his payments and home loan are paid from. Randomly putting $2k per person (almost $10-12k) since they are 4, in depositing it all together in bank, would seem more red flag than real.. He has some savings, and typically in India people invest cash privately. Would that make sense? or should he put more money in the bank now if we are applying end of this week or early next week.

Where is the money coming from for $2k per person to be put into the bank within the week? He has to state where the money is coming from? So he has $12k in the bank for a two week visit. That is not a lot if you consider airfare/travel and health nsurance being deducted. So they are using all their savings for a trip. All they can do is apply and hope for a positive result.

In India, not many people keep money in chequing account for risk of fraud and losing it. They either keep cash or invest cash in privately. He can deposit it in the bank. Or he can withdraw money from the company he loaned some funds to, and recover the loan amount and show that with the paperwork.

Hello ,
I would like to add my experience with similar situation. For my house warming ,i invited my parents, my two sisters ,niece and nephew to attend the house warming and stay for 40 days. Me and my wife were PR's at that time. We prepared an affidavit inviting them and taking an oath that we will cover all expenses during their stay in Canada .we also mentioned our jobs and salaries in that affidavit. We got it attested and notarized by our lawyer. Also we sent our latest 3 month pay stubs, past 3 years tax returns from CRA and 3 months bank statements and investments.
My family didn't add any documents except for the signed notarized letters from my brother in laws stating that they are allowing their son/daughter travel with their mothers (its required if a minor is travelling with a single parent) and also letters from school that they are registered full time students and will be returning to join the next grade when school re opens.
All visae were approved without any questions at Bangalore VFS. 10 year multiple entry for parents and 6 month single entries for the rest.

Congrats on their approvals especially during Covid. Clarification so your brother-in-laws didn't apply for visitor visas since the fathers didn't come and allowed travel? Your sisters and their children's applications were strong if their spouses didn't come as it showed strong home ties.

My brother in law didn't join as he has assignments overseas and other brother in law is a business man. The affidavits they signed and notarized is to allow their wife's to travel with their minor children and its perfectly acceptable. They can show proof of their immovable assets, return to job after vacation and also letter from school for kids. These are enough to prove strong ties in India. Besides, after 6 months they have to leave the country no matter what or apply for extension from with in Canada which is not the original intent mentioned in your invitation. It will work for your case and i will be surprised if it didnt.

Right, they showed very strong ties as spouses didn’t come to Canada. OP is hoping the whole family comes to Canada.
