Hi guys, I applied for SINP last year and they have reverted back by saying "as you have a close contact in Alberta, prove us your intent to settle in Saskatchewan and you won't go to Alberta after your short stay post entry".

Would appreciate some guidance on how to reply on this and what strong reasoning/documents I can give to convince them.

Happy to answer this.

Firstly, are you actually intending to stay in Saskatchewan? The PNP route requires a serious commitment from you that you will reside in the province that nominated you. You must provide a very detailed and convincing explanation of your commitment to stay in Saskatchewan.

These can include things like:
  • A pre-arranged job offer or evidence that you're searching for and/or making connections with Saskatchewan employers
  • Evidence that you have researched about where to live and inquiries about long-term residential leases in Saskatchewan
  • Any previous trips that you've made to Saskatchewan, including evidence that you conducted research on living here
  • Your connection to Saskatchewan and its communities, if you have any, (for example in my case I met my friends and girlfriend here before applying to the SINP)
  • A letter from your close contact in Alberta indicating that they have no intention to support or facilitate you in moving to Alberta, and why they think you'll keep true to your word
It's important that you're true to your word about staying in the province that's nominated you for a reasonable amount of time. There have been people who were nominated by a province and left in a minute after getting PR - let's just say some of them aren't in Canada anymore (happy to pull up legal case studies).

THIS IS NORMAL , many of the candidates from our group received same letter, you have to convince them with proper explanation,
you can mention my noc have huger demand in sask compare to other provinces, at the same time my relatives are planing to come to sask because it is nice place. If anything needed kindly contact me.

Mentioning your NOC being in demand is not a satisfactory explanation as to why you would remain in Saskatchewan. There are plenty of jobs and plenty of demand in Canada right now. Please refrain from asking people to contact you directly - knowledge is meant to be shared here.

Nice place my ass! - many people even in Saskatchewan would prefer to live in BC; this is a harsh, cold, wild, windy place where hell freezes over. There are nowhere as many jobs as one could have in major centers like Ontario or Vancouver, and the salaries are relatively low to the rest of Canada. It really takes a special kind of person to love or even like Saskatchewan. I know I do, but I'm one of the few.
