Okay, thanks.Your wife might be eligible for coverage from the date she established residency if she is moving or immigrating to Alberta from outside Canada.
Your first landing can be done in Toronto if you want. Regardless Toronto or Alberta, you would have to pay for private travel insurance for your softlanding trip.Okay, thanks.
Not landing in Toronto (COPR port of entry) now. Shall do our first landing in Alberta in April. Shall return for the delivery in October. Will this work?
Eligible residentsOkay, thanks.

Actually that’s incorrect. They’ll need to reside inAlberta for the first 12 months as new residents to qualify for healthcare.Eligible residents
You are eligible for Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) coverage if you are: legally entitled to be in and remain in Canada and make your permanent home in Alberta. committed to being physically present in Alberta for at least 183 days in any 12-month period.

How did you get PR? PNP?Okay. Can I land in Alberta straightaway and not in Toronto (mentioned on our COPR as destination city)?
We have EE PR visas.
It's an FSW EE PR. Looking for employment opportunities now. Thanks. If you aren’t employed moving to a province because of healthcare, especially when you have to make a 12 month commitment to the province, is a risky plan. Have you looked at the employment opportunities in your field in Alberta?
So yes you can move to any province. As previously stated moving to a province just to get healthcare can lock you into a situation that is not beneficial. Once you use start using healthcare in that province you’ll essentially need to remain there for 6-12 months depending on the province. Same things as a lease in Canada. I would never recommend signing a 1 year lease before figuring out employment. Many are anxious to sign a lease as soon as possible because short term accommodations are more expensive but as a newcomer to Canada it is really best to apply throughout Canada or even apply throughout whole city. In large cities like Toronto signing a lease in one area of the city may limit where you can take a job because of very long commute times or lack of public transportation. It's an FSW EE PR.
