Thanks Chanakyashah. I just double checked the government's website. The following is written down:
"You can apply online or on paper. Apply on paper
only if you’re not
eligible to apply online. Don’t apply both ways."
The funny thing is after answering the questions to check my eligibility to apply online. The website generated the following response:
"Based on your answers, you’re eligible to apply online.
- To apply online, you must be at least 18 years of age when you submit your application.
- If you don’t want to apply online, you may apply on paper "
It's a bit weird that it says apply on paper
only if you are not eligible to apply online, then gives you the option to apply on paper after finishing the eligibility survey. I guess the safest bet is to apply online if you're eligible to avoid the probability of not following the application guidelines
