I am not sure about the FP request. I will update if ever I get it.Thanks a_tkd. If BG is complete, would you still get an FP request?

Hi - So you got the test invite a day after the testing window started. How did you get to know the testing window dates? Do we get an email? My BG check was completed on April 11. Nothing after that. So wanted to check if I am missing something. Thanks
How you are contacting IRCC by Phone ? I am reaching them by 1 888-242-2100 Followed by eight digits Client Id and Pressing # and then 3,4 and 0. It says i am not able to connect due to long queue. We need to try multiple times ?Hi All,
This is my first time here. My application details are:
Application type: Online
Applicant: Single
Location: Mississauga, ON
Application filed: Sep 12, 2021
AOR: Nov 26, 2021
Days in Canada: 1,153
Last update: Nov 29, 2021
I called IRCC today to check the status of my application. I was curious about why there had been no update on my application since Nov 29. I was told that IRCC is currently conducting BGC on my application - they said they started on the "Security" part of the BGC just yesterday, that they had already completed the "Criminality" part of the BGC. They also said it's currently taking around 27 months or more to process citizenship applications. Hearing about that timeline was disheartening. It does seem though from the posts here that people's applications are moving faster than that.
Does anyone know how long the BGC could take to complete? And what steps come after that?
Thanks so much.
I was able to get through on the first try. Yes, that number is correct but I don't remember pressing 0. After pressing 4, I did not need to press any other key, it took me straight to an agent after a brief wait. How you are contacting IRCC by Phone ? Great! Thank you for letting us know. You can check processing office by looking at the initial from the email they sent the test invitation. For example CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca means sending from Ottawa..I think Niagara is NGRHi All,
I received the test invite by email this morning (a day after the start date).
@thuong - Not sure how to check the processing office.
Thanks

My police station (Winnipeg) told me that my FP will be sent to RCMP Ottawa for checking and after it’s done, the result will be forwarded straight to Vancouver IRCC. It’s wired that you’ve to forward the result to Vancouver by yourself. Maybe it’s a different procedure for different cities, I guess. The York regional police told me that I will receive the FP report by mail from RCMP Ottawa, Which I will have to forward to IRCC.
Guess . this is also one of the valid steps.
