I got a refusal letter for my PR Application for FSW EE today. The reason for rejection was said to be insufficient information in the Employment Verification letter. My employer would only give a generic letter without job responsibilities, so that is what I had to upload when I originally applied. I think I could get a new letter with all the details at this point. My question is, what should be my next step ideally be?

1. I have been advised to raise a webform and request a re-opening of the file, with the new employee verification letter.

2. Start the process all over again. Is it advisable to do this immediately or should I wait?

Hello,
So sorry to hear about your rejection. You could try to send a new letter with job responsibilities through webform, and send in an appeal. They might open your case. No guarantees. As job letter with responsibilities is a very important document.
If you don't mind me asking what's your AOR and country of residence?
Good luck. Hope they do end up re considering your case.

An employer letter with specific requirements is a mandatory document. You can try and ask for reconsideration but IRCC most likely closed your file. It clearly states that incomplete files will be rejected and closed. There are no timelines for reconsideration so you may not (or never) hear back from IRCC in a long time.

If you have the scores to start the process over and get an ITA again then do so. There has not been an open draw in about 18 months.

Thanks. My AOR was November 2020 and country of residence is USA. Have there ever been cases of web form request being considered?

Do you know of any case where webform request was considered? And do you think a webform request might negatively impact any future applications? My score was 481 previously but went down 5 points because of age.

I have seen one case on one of the fb groups about their file being reconsidered after rejection. But again as I mentioned there are no guarantees. You can try and see if it'll work.
If you are eligible for pnp then maybe make a new profile and apply for it. As an alternative.
Do you know your visa office? It took them so long to reject. That's unfair.
Good luck. Hoping it all sorts out soon.

Unfortunately I am not aware of the visa office. Yes it was painful since I had to wait for more than a year before the refusal. Do you think it might be considered a negative point for my future application if I try to appeal with a webform? Also would you be aware of where I could find a good example of a letter from employer?

Please feel free to contact me directly should you have any further questions.

Also my company changed the title "Associate Senior Software Engineer" to "Software Engineer II", between my previous and current application. Would that be any cause of concern?

And can responsibilities for Software Engineer and Software Engineer II be same or do they need to be different?
