Need Help about COPR

Hello,
I have received passport request for my PR application. But, once I submitted my passport and received my COPR, I must travel within given time frame. But, I don't want to travel for some times because of take care of someone.
So, my question is,
How can I get extension of stay, before or after submitted my passport. Once, If I submitted my passport and received my COPR, I have to travel.
Pls advise me.

1. Your COPR will be valid for 1 year from the date of medical, then it is a case of "use it or lose it"

Thank for reply. But, my medical will expire on Aug 2022. I need more time to stay
