Nice name bro
Thanks. I've been silently reading everything here for months because I had no new information to contribute. Then a question on pcc the day I got mine... my calling!
Obviously I know the addresses of all the hero champion vip members and their extended families. I've also invited myself to the get together happening once everyone's there.
I'm basic fsw. Single applicant.

Instead of having people file Mandamus and giving money to lawyers, they can earn some money by having paid premium processing and essentially do the same thing. But, modern liberalism wouldn't allow that.

Alternatively, more funding and resources could go into a system that benefits all applicants. A "tiered" or "pay to play" system sounds rather more American and a little less Canadian if you ask me.

I'm shocked that people that we have suffered together with for years are in support of this unfair pay for premium service proposal. "The poor ones should wait longer, but I have money I deserve VIP treatment" Lmao

Having a premium service would benefit all in the long run. A portion of the fee would go towards directly helping the one paying. The rest can be spent on improving the infrastructure.

For any government service including healthcare, a tiered system (say 80% free, 20% line cutters with highest bid) would help everyone than a completely free system.

Besides, it's already pay to play with the option of Mandamus. The question is who benefits from it.

I think this is one of those things where we're not going to change each other's mind. I agree that if more money is added to any system, of course everyone using it can benefit. But I argue that more money could be added in other ways - such as an increased fee for all applicants or more tax dollars allocated to processing. And all applicants can benefit in a more equal fashion, instead of a tiered system that elevates the wealthiest candidates over poorer ones.

That is the kind of change I would rather see - and projecting this type of thought to various other systems (healthcare, auto insurance, etc) one reason I find Canada attractive as a place to live.

Mandamus is not an apples-to-apples comparison to a premium processing category. Mandamus is only a real option for those with the funds to spend who also have had to wait an exorbitant amount of time. It's also a risk - there's no guarantee someone who files it will get their application processed immediately.

Don't get me wrong - the current system has serious flaws. I just disagree with you on how to go about improving it.

Got my GCMS notes today (My 4th one)

Zero fks given. Only Eligibility passed and medicals extended (But I don't see it on my online portal yet). Security and Cirmianlty still not started.
Two good things: I got all my GCMS notes in under 30 days. No need to spend another $400 on medicals.
