Confusion about how to send PPR documents to New York VO

The passports with Visa and CoPR were delivered today! Here is our post-PPR detailed timeline for everyone's benefit

On 28-Feb-2022, received Ready For Visa email

On 1-Mar-2022, sent out passport and other documents to VFS via FedEx. Delivered next day (2-Mar-2022)

On 10-Mar-2022, got email from VFS mentioning they have received the packet (had principal applicant FedEX tracking number) but have not yet verified the content

On 17-Mar-2022, got email from VFS mentioning that they have dispatched the application to the IRCC office and provided tracking number

On 18-Mar-2022, got email from VFS mentioning that the application has been received and is under processing at the IRCC office

On 24-Mar-2022, IRCC online account got updated saying that application was approved

On 29-Mar-2022: Message from IRCC in online account. The PDF started with "Congratulation, your visa is now affixed on your passport"

On 29-Mar-2022: VFS update saying "The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXX has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, to the Canada Visa Application Centre in USA, New York."

On 29-Mar-2022: VFS update saying "The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXXX has been received from the IRCC Office on Tue Mar 29 2022 at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Canada Visa Application Centre, New York and is ready for collection."

On 29-Mar-2022: VFS update saying "The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. XXXXXXX has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, Canada Visa Application Centre, New York on Tue Mar 29 2022 via courier partner."

On 30-Mar-2022: Got email from FedEx with tracking number and expected delivery date of 31-Mar

On 31-Mar-2022: FedEx delivered passport and CoPR (3 separate envelopes)

Hi, I think each person would have a separate tracking id and envelope. The tracking id we had yesterday was for my child (who doesn't need to submit passport), and this morning I received a Fedex shipping email for my child. And my passport and my husband's passport has not been returned -- the status is still 'under process at IRCC'. I am hoping they would return our passports this week. Please let me know if you get updates for other people in your family.

Yeah I received email from VFS for each applicant the next day. The next email was that the documents have been received at embassy.

Our passport was dispatched to IRCC today. Looks like things are picking up pace again:
Passport Sent: 03/24
Passport Reached NYC VFS VAC: 03/25
Passport Received Email from VFS: 03/27
Passport Dispatched to IRCC: 03/29

We have almost the same timeline, Have you received any other information? Now that they are speeding things up maybe we will hear from them by monday.

March 30, I received an email saying ircc has received and they are processing my application.

I have two questions.

1. What "Application category" should I select in VFS portal when getting shipping labels for sending passports. (Original Passport Submission, or PRTD).
2. IRCC mentions we need to do these steps within 30 days. Does it mean I should send packages to VFS in 30 days or should IRCC receive my package in 30 days. I am already past 20 days since I got the email, so kind of worried.

On the GC Key portal it says that a final decision was made and I was approved. I received a "letter accompanying the visa" but haven't actually received COPR. Did anybody else have the same experience and how long did it take you to get COPR after you got the "letter accompanying the visa" (I didn't send my passport because I'm from a visa exempt country)

Pretty sure "original passport submission" would be the one to choose but I sent my documents with UPS because I didn't realize I was supposed to use FedEx. If you're already past 20 days then you should send it out ASAP because I'm not sure what happens after the 30 days.

2. I am not aware of this but I think you should send all the documents as soon as possible.

You should check your ready-for visa email, it has the requirements for passport submission. Here is what is written in mine:

Be advised when asked the question “What are you doing in Canada?” to answer, “Visiting as a tourist, visiting family or visiting friends”. It is only for the purpose of determining if you require a visa or not.

@Kayla11 Yes i also got the same approved msg and the counterfoil is generated for me.Though my son is dependent and his counterfoil didnt generated yet..
Also i didnt get any email for the update..it as ghost update.
@arjun_humain in your case, is the counterfoil generated for all at same day??

I tracked my application and it says "The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No.********** has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, to the Canada Visa Application Centre in SAO PAULO." Does anyone know what this means? I live in the US so I'm very confused as to why its going to Brazil. Please help
