hello ,
This is on behalf of my mother's citizenship application. She is being asked to provide a copy of PCC from India. Can somebody please explain why ?
We had submitted everything (all the PCC's) when filing PR application 5 years ago,do we again need to submit the PCC ?

· You must provide a police certificate for each country or territory where you have been present for 183 days or more in a row (since the age of 18). If you cannot get a police certificate, please explain why. A police certificate or explanation for no certificate is required for your time spent in (INDIA).

Is she being asked to provide only the PCC for INDIA or all the countries she ever lived in?( She was in Kuwait for few years, but as we know gulf countries do not grant you a PR or citizenship so she was there on a spouse visa with my dad.) Also after getting the PR she spent a year and a half in India ,could that be the reason they are asking her again for a PCC ? Please help.Any help is welcome.

One of the requirements when you are filing for Citizenship is PCC from all the countries where you have lived for more than 183 days. Since you mentioned you mother lived in India for one and a half year after PR this is the reason they need PCC.

Side note: PCC is only valid for 6 months, so something that was submitted 5 years ago doesn't hold any meaning.
