You can do that or you can go the same day you receive invitation to your nearby fingerprint service center, i got the same day appointment at my nearest local police/RCMP office and they have the same tools available, compared to last time when i went to commissionaires office this time my fingerprints were received quickly. I know some people do that even before receiving the letter , so if you are ok to risk 50$ sure do it on last letter, in reality it is the same letter with just a date change, but since you pay fees for this nobody cares about the date, if this was free service i would have expected from scrutiny

Need a help from you. Today all for my and my wife's status has been showing as "COMPLETED" except the Oath Ceremony. But my minor son's status still showing as INPROGRESS for all the cases.
Any body has any idea why its like that for my minor son? Also if we need to attend any citizenship interview after all the status has been COMPLETED now?

Your son's file will be closed after the ceremony only. No interview is to be expected after a file has been approved.
Minors status does not change with every step, it is quite normal, Interview after Completed I am not sure since I am also in the same boat and waiting for Oath ceremony.
Thank you. So if I can expect any official approval email from IRCC? I just check the status only in tracker. It has been updated today only.
On old tracker ecas, it should say "Decision Made", which means your file has been approved. No email is sent for that. In the new tracker this corresponds to having all fields completed except the oath.

How long does it take for the certificate to come. And also is there any timeframe for surrendering the indian passport and applying for canadian passport?
I am planning to move to another province so thinking i can surrender and apply after i move to another province.
