Only some basic emergency dental is covered by IFHP. Make sure what you need is covered if you are not in the position to pay for services that aren’t covered.hi everyone. I’ve been squeezing my teeth because of the stress. I guess i need a night guard at least. I don’t know can they cover that or not . What do you think ?Only some basic emergency dental is covered by IFHP. Make sure what you need is covered if you are not in the position to pay for services that aren’t covered.

Definitely won’t cover. Dental care is not covered for non-asylum (except for some low income programs with limited capacity) so IFHP won’t cover all dental treatments when dental isn’t covered for other people living in Canada. Asylum claimants are only given access to emergency dental to treat dental issues like cavities, abscesses, etc. that could have resulted from poor dental care when the asylum claimants may have been displaced in places like refugee camps for an extended period of time. The most common IFHP dental procedures are teeth extraction and cavities.I’ve been squeezing my teeth because of the stress. I guess i need a night guard at least. May be more because they probably need x-rays and other services as a new patient.I just got a night guard .
Set aside around $500-600 for it

Oh really… that’s pretty a lot. Did they at least cover the x rays or other stuff ? I can pay the night guard price but plus other stuff it’s gonna be hard for meI just got a night guard .

Unfortunately 500-600 is not much when it comes to what dental care can cost in Canada. X-rays may or may not be covered especially if the purpose of the visit is to obtain a mouth guard.Oh really… that’s pretty a lot. Did they at least cover the x rays or other stuff ? Yeah you are right though. Live here alone and that price with my budget it will be a lot for meUnfortunately 500-600 is not much when it comes to what dental care can cost in Canada. X-rays may or may not be covered especially if the purpose of the visit is to obtain a mouth guard.
Try to focus on your stress and sleep if a mouth guard is not possible. Try to find a job with extended health benefits as well.Yeah you are right though. Live here alone and that price with my budget it will be a lot for me
Go to the drugstore (order through Amazon) and pick up a do it yourself night guard. Heat the night guard and you make your own impression. It is not as good as a dental/professional one but try that first and see if it helps. Around $30-40 and you get two. That is what I did before investing in an expensive one (which broke soon after).I’ve been squeezing my teeth because of the stress. I guess i need a night guard at least. x-rays and normal services are covered by ifhpMay be more because they probably need x-rays and other services as a new patient.
