Hi everyone,

Application of my wife and I are under process for study and work permit. We are blessed with newborn and we want to add the application of our child. Can you please tell me the procedure? Do I have to add an application of my child from my GCkey account or do I have to make a new one for my child? I have already raised a webform and inform them by submitting birth certificates but received no response. Your response shall be appreciated. Thanks

Hi you can apply for a visitor visa for new born and mention in the letter that you (parents) have an application in progress.
any update ircc with application # later via webform.
Also send new family information form for your application

Hi Friends ,
Me and my wife are PR. I landed canada 2 weeks ago , but my spouse and kids(minor) are in India.
My spouse has to return to canada asap to retain her PR status to meet min. 2 year eligibility. Applying PR is going to take time , in that case
1 ) Is it advisable to apply visitor visa for my kids ?
2) Should I raise two separate travel request for each kid

Please guide me with your expertise

1) Yes, apply. Note it may take time, ie. not work well with your wife's residency obligation issues.
2) I'm quite sure the instructions will make clear that visitor visa applications are individual.

I don't know about whether to 'mention' residency obligation.

I meant exactly what I wrote: that you said your spouse needs to return ASAP, but getting a tourist visa for children may take months. There's a conflict there.
