Online citizenship application - Identification and absences from Canada question?

Hi folks,
I just submitted my online citizenship application an hour ago. However I'm uncertain about a few details:

1- I used my PR card and my BC driver's license as my two pieces of ID. In the application guide it says "A PR card may only be used as personal identification if your second piece of personal identification was issued by the Canadian government " however I'm not sure if the DL would count as "issued by the Canadian government" since it's technically issued by the BC provincial government. On the other hand, I found a few forum posts here that said PR card + DL would be okay.

2- In the physical presence calculator I didn't enter day trips to the United States (where I left Canada in the morning and came back to Canada in the evening, during the same calendar day).

Would these pose any problem? If so can I amend the application at this stage?

Thanks for the replies, and best regards!

1. DL would work fine.

2. Your physical presence calculator should list all exits from Canada, even if you returned to Canada on the same day. The processing officer will already have your travel history / request it from CBSA and WILL match it to your declared absences. A mismatch would be cause for queries to you and possibly non-routine processing. You may want to submit an updated physical presence calculator, even though the actual days in Canada will not change because of the day trip(s)

I don't know if online applicants have a different recourse to updating information on the file pre/post AOR.

Thanks for the reply! Do you know how I can amend the application with an updated physical presence calculator?

You can send a webform with the updated document but only after you have received an acknowledgement of receipt.
You would have to explain why you are submitting an updated document.
A simple rule of thumb is to state facts. They are simpler to explain. Always.

Hi there, I'll be doing my citizenship application soon.. I know for the paper based application you are required to submit your head shots/photos but I was wondering how to submit for the online application, how did you go about yours?

Thanks in advance

Go to Staples with a USB drive, they take your photo and save it on the drive.
