yes you should have choose b1/b2 temporary visitor. If you submitted it already you should contact them right away and mention mistake was made and want to resubmit it.
I recently filled my brothers DS-160. While I was trying to take an appointment today, I came across a column , country of permanent residence . It says if you are not citizen of the country where you permanently reside, select the country where you have been granted permission to legally work study or live . Now we are citizens of pakistan and we have been accept as protected person in Canada. Should I put Canada in this column?

It says if you are not citizen of the country where you permanently reside, select the country where you have been granted permission to legally work study or live . Now we are citizens of pakistan and we have been accept as protected person in Canada. Should I put Canada in this column?
