electronic signatures for passport application possible?

Can the applicant's and guarantor's name/signature/date/location be done electronically instead of printing + wet signature? Adobe signing, DocuSign etc.

I am not sure, but even if it's accepted, how would your guarantor sign the photos? If the guarantor is present to sign the photos, why not sign the application, too?

You need to print it eventually to mail it. The Passport Program doesn't accept electronic submission

I had to go somewhere and print it, spending time and money and risking private data leakage. Now I feel my 3 signatures don't look alike much and wondering if I should start over. That was annoying, but not a big deal.

Signatures don't have to be 100% identical. It's almost impossible. They know this.
