Hi everyone,

I was reading about the required documents for OINP Employer Job Offer International Student stream here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/oinp-employer-job-offer-international-student-stream
and it never mentioned anything about the job offer letter has to be less than 6 months old, but when I checked another link here: https://www.ontario.ca/document/oinp-document-checklists/employer-job-offer-international-student-stream-applicant-checklist#section-5
It mentions that it has to be less than 6 months old..

Now, my job offer letter is older than 6 months and I have been working for the company for 1 year now, does that mean I don't meet the requirements for OINP international student stream?

Thanks.

You would need a recent job offer as per the checklist. Also when your employer fills out all the paperwork, they will need to provide a job offer within the last 6 months. So it should not be an issue once your employer completes all the paperwork.

So my employer will have to make another offer besides the one that I already signed a year ago and I have to resign it?
All their requirements are in their link. You don’t have to resign anything but your job needs to be permanent, full-time.

You don’t need a new job offer, you have to ask for a complete job reference letter though if your job offer is older than 6 months, your starting date, job title, salary or hourly wage, working hours( to check if you’re making more than $40/H or not) full detail of your responsibilities based on the NOC you are applying( it should be more than 50% of the job description that is available for your NOC). Along with the original job offer you’ve got in the first place

Hello,

please I have a question and hopefully I can get an answer to. I did the expression of interest for OINP Employee Job offer- foreign worker stream and claimed points for 6months or currently working in the job offer. I got invite to apply but the issue I have is my job offer is less than 6months but I currently work there… can I still submit an application and would that not be a misrepresentation?
