Hello,

Anyone contacted their mp and succeeded in getting their application processed faster ?
I just moved last weekend and I don’t want to update my address because I’m not sure if I’ll be staying here. I don’t want to update my address every 3 months. Can I contact the mp of my previous address ? The one that IRCC has ? Would they have any way of knowing it’s not my current address anymore ?
Please give me some advice.
I did my test dec 9 and it wasn’t accepted due to technical problems:( now it’s been 3 months I’m waiting for retest and this is just taking a toll on my mental health :(

thank you for your help

Whichever MP you choose to contact, may I suggest, you do not let a citizenship application get the better of your sanity. Sure, all of us would like to get this out of our way at the earliest, but please remember you have ZERO control and influence over the process. The only control you have is a correct / complete and true application. Nothing beyond that.
The last two years have been stressful for almost everyone and you could do without mental health issues. So, take my word, when I say don't let this freak you out. My application has been in the pipeline for over 40 months now. If I keep worrying about it, I'll only lose sleep; knowing fully well that there is nothing you can do about processing delays.

By all means, contact the MP where you filed your application from. As my MP's office said, they have no influence on IRCC's process and will merely relate what is communicated to them by IRCC.

Thank you! I just have some health issues and I’m not sure how long I can keep working until I give up and have to go back home to take some time off! I just desperately need a break from work for a few months before I can work again ( I’m super stressed and very tired ) And I’m alone here so I obviously cannot stay here if I don’t work :/ and I’ve been here 11 years so I don’t want to give up on my citizenship :/ . I did my test 3 months ago and they didn’t accept it they said my camera got disconnected for 2 mins and I’ve been waiting for retest so It sucks. I don’t know what to do, go home and wait for the test or what else I can do that’s why I want to get it ASAP and cannot afford to keep waiting forever.
do I need to contact the mp of my current address or the address where I was living when I filed the application ?
Thanks for your help :)

Hang in there, mate. You are almost there. Find something to distract your mind with. Perhaps avoid discussing with others who are also struggling with their applications.

Since you have moved a few days ago, I would think that the MP where you applied from should be the point of contact.
