New passports after submitting applications for Study and Work Permit extensions

I have submitted applications for me and my family members for Study and Work permit extensions. Our application is still waiting to be processed. Soon, we will get our new passports. Should we update our applications when we get new passports, and how I can do it?. Thank you!

No need to update . when ircc ask for pasport simply send new passports

We are talking about permits not visas. For permits, they will not ask for passports.
