Hi there, I see that under to NOC 44101: Home support worker, there is a job title for "domestic help".
I am wondering if a job as a domestic helper to a family without seniors or medical needs is admissible for this category.
I am confused because it is included in the examples under the NOC..

That is just a title. Your job offer must meet the lead statement.

Home support workers, caregivers and related occupations, provide personal care and companionship for seniors, persons with disabilities and convalescent clients. They provide care in the client's residence, where they may also reside. They are employed by home care and support agencies, private households, or they may be self-employed.

Can recovery from a caesarean section be considered convalescent?
Why do you need a full time caregiver that you will employ for years and application takes years to process? Takes a few weeks to recover from c-section. Who is looking after the kids? Because job is not child-care. You don’t need a full time, permanent caregiver. So it is you who in unable to prove you cannot work for years and require 24/7 care. Doubt IRCC would consider it.

Help! I applied to the HSW Pilot in November 2021. Since then, I have only received the PAOR. I applied through an agency, and in every meeting, they told me, 'We are going to request an update with our attorney,' but nothing happened. Tired of waiting, I filled out a form to inquire about my process, and to my surprise, Immigration sent a letter at the end of 2022 with information they didn't provide me earlier. Today, I sent the agency the information that Immigration provided, and their response was, 'Your application was rejected' due to the new regulations stating that employers cannot be businesses or companies. I don't have that letter because they haven't sent it to me, and I'm not sure if the regulations informed in July 2023 apply to my process submitted in 2021.
Could someone confirm if this law has retroactivity, if it applies to me considering that it came out years after I applied? I have been searching on the website, and I can't find anything confirming that the new regulation applies to me. Thank you very much.
