Has anyone been approved for a family reunification visa for Québec?

I really wonder if anyone is not affected by the quota set by the government, has anyone been approved for a visa recently?

I think we're pretty much all screwed and our only hope is for the current parliamentary commission in Quebec to increase quotas. There's noise about that and last week 3 women testified on how waiting 24 months for family reunification was cringe.

There is a government and a prime minister who do not listen to the people and the labor force is dwindling, the migration from Québec to other provinces will be inevitable, there has never been such an immigration policy anywhere in the world, it does not respect the right of families to be together for fear of losing the French language.

Absolutely absurd to have a quota for family reunification. But this govt is not really for the people. There is a petition going around in the other discussion in this forum for increased the limit. Please sign if you feel it’s right.

It has nothing to do with with Federal government or the prime minister. The caps have been put in place by the province of Quebec. The premier of Quebec is the one who doesn't care about you and your family. The federal government has actually been lobbying against the caps and trying to get Quebec to remove them.

We applied inland in Quebec on 7 October 2022, all major things are done, sponsor approval, AIP, CSQ, background, medical, eligibility and biometrics and we are still waiting for decision. Everything has been done for months at this point. SA and AIP were in July, CSQ was in February and the other four were completed from November 2022-March 2023.
