Hi, I currently have my GC application under EB2 with a priority date of August 2014. I shifted my GC application to Consular processing. I transferred to the Canadian branch of my organization. By early next year, i would have completed 1 year working in the Canadian division of our company.

Wanted to check what are my options to apply under EB1 C.

1) Will I have to come back to the US on L1A and then apply for EB1 using my previous priority date?
2) Can i directly get the GC through the US consulate in Canada if my company does EB1 while i am still in Canada.

You can do either, 1 is probably easier than option 2. To qualify for L1A you have to have been a manager (ideally with multiple direct reports) for 1year+ whilst outside of the US, as long as you meet the criteria and your company/lawyer supports you should be good with either.
