average time to get the passport back from NY VAC

I received my PPR this morning. I am asked to send my passport to NY VAC. I need to travel internationally on 10th Dec. I need to make sure to get my passport back before that.

what is the normal processing time? what should I do? any help is much appreciated

The processing time vary from VO to VO, usually 2-6 weeks.

my friend has sent his passport to NY VFS and still waiting.. its been 3 weeks
