OINP Human Capital Priority Stream March 21st 2024- timeline

It is unlikely to get approve in 60 days. The estimated time on OINP website is 60-90 days, but based on previous invitations (e.g. dec2023) it could take more than 90 days. However, it is unlikely that it will take more than 120 days.

OINP Human Capital Priority Stream March 21st 2024- timeline

I think you should contact OINP about that. The logic about the upper threshold for OINP seems a bit odd. As I understand, it was defined by STEM EE draw in Dec2023, but after the latest STEM EE draw people with 481..490 should wait even more than people with 469..480.

OINP Draw today 21 March 2024

No, I worked mostly as solo proprietor (self-employed). So, as evidence that my activity corresponds to NOC 21231 I provided invoices, bank statements, reference letter from 1 client, Notice of assessment from 2 previous years and a letter with explanations. I hope it will be sufficient.

OINP Draw today 21 March 2024

From different timelines in signatures it seems that it take up to 6 months to get PR after OINP nomination. Here is one of more optimistic examples: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/july-2023-oinp-hcp-tech-draw-timeline.817596/

    NOC code and reference letter

NOC 21231 should work well. It explicitly include embedded software developers and designers: https://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getVD&TVD=1322554&CVD=1322870&CPV=21231&CST=01052021&MLV=5&CLV=5

    OINP-stem vs EE-stem with 474 points

It seems that I've misread it initially. Going with one that will send an invitation first sounds reasonable. Thanks.

Business expense deductions for soloeproprietors (for 1500+ cad device)

I bought a work-related device that costs 1500cad. As I understand I can deduct only a part of this price in this year. And all other items that costs less than 500cad can be deducted fully. Is it correct? Where to read about that in more details?

    OINP-stem vs EE-stem with 474 points

Why OINP would not give an invitation? The last draw was with a lower score than I have. (471 < 474)

    OINP-stem vs EE-stem with 474 points

I have 474 points and stem-related work, and my wife has 490 points with no targeted specialisation. We would like to get PR and live in Ontario. At the moment we see 3 options: 1) Wait for OINP invitation; (the last one was 471) 2) Wait for stem targeted draw from EE; (the last one was 481) 3)...
