Temporary Public Policy

Thank you for your interest in retaining the services of the Cohen Immigration Law for Canada's new temporary public policy.

The Government of Canada stated that the temporary public policy comes into effect on May 6, 2021 and will end on November 5, 2021 or once application limits have been met, whichever comes first.

For the international graduates pathway the intake cap is 40,000 applications.

The essential workers pathway is divided into two streams. Stream A, which includes candidates with experience in an eligible Health Related Occupation, has an intake cap of 20,000 applications. Stream B, which includes candidates with experience in Other Eligible Essential Occupations, has an intake cap of 30,000 applications.

Canada will accept an unlimited number of applications from French-speaking candidates during the submission period.

As with all public policies, this public policy may be revoked by the Minister, without prior notice.

At this time, we regret to inform you that Cohen Immigration Law is unable to represent new clients with the mandate of applying for permanent residence through the new temporary public policy. Our office is currently committed to servicing our existing clients.

While this may be disappointing to you, we would like to remain in touch, as we may be able to represent you in the near future. In this event, we will send you a follow up email to offer our assistance. We invite you to subscribe to CIC News to receive the latest Canadian immigration updates.

Sincerely,

The Cohen Immigration Law Team
