Workers’ salaries continue to rise in Saskatchewan

Since September 2009, salaries for workers in Saskatchewan have increased by almost five percent, making Saskatchewan the third highest paying province in Canada, after only Ontario and Alberta. This last September, the average earnings per week in Saskatchewan was almost $850, according to Statistics Canada.

The number of job postings listed by Saskatchewan employers has also increased by nearly 25% in the past year. There are now more high paying jobs available to new skilled worker immigrants settling in the province of Saskatchewan. These salary increases have also surpassed current inflation rates, allowing workers to have a higher standard of living.

As salaries continue to increase and more jobs become available to skilled workers, Saskatchewan is quickly becoming one of the top settlement destinations for new immigrant workers in Canada.
