As Canada slowly begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, here are the jobs that are predicted to be in demand over the next year.
Canada's health and safety restrictions and lockdowns are expected to be eased, and eventually removed.
Many companies have already started to adapt to these restrictions such as allowing their employees to work remotely and using online collaboration tools.
Businesses that do not have the capacity to do so, implemented health and safety policies. Employees would need to wear face masks and maintain physical distancing.
In the second half of 2021, it is projected that many people will return to their old jobs, and others will gain employment elsewhere.
Many people have lost their jobs or saw their hours reduced as a result of the economic impact businesses were facing due to the pandemic. Many sectors have become dormant due to restrictions and lockdowns.
However, there is reason to remain positive. More than two thirds of Canadian businesses may look to rehire employees who were laid off because of the pandemic. Experts are starting to predict the outlook for 2021.
