British Columbia invited 57 Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in a new Tech Pilot draw held September 10.
The BC PNP Tech Pilot is an initiative under the British Colombia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) to support the province’s technology sector in recruiting the international talent it needs to continue growing.
The Pilot allows international tech workers that have an eligible job offer in one of 29 occupations in the technology sector to obtain an accelerated pathway to Canadian permanent residence.
The most recent Tech Pilot draw saw a minimum score of 90 in each of the four Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration categories targeted.
Invited candidates under the Express Entry BC stream who are approved for a British Columbia provincial nomination will receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points toward their Express Entry profile.
The BC PNP: Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) is a points-based system that evaluates candidates based on factors like education, work experience and proficiency in English or French.
