Saskatchewan makes licensing information more readily available online

In order to work in regulated occupations in Canada, some foreign-trained workers must have their education and work experience credentials assessed and they may need to obtain additional training andlicensing.

To make the process easier on newcomers, the Province of Saskatchewan has made licensinginformation for more than 20 of its non-health regulated occupations available online. This will help future Saskatchewan residents prepare ahead of timeso that they can get settled into the workforce more quickly upon arrival.

"Fact sheets will enable internationally-trained professionals to quickly find accurate information to navigate the licensing process," SaskatchewanImmigration Minister Rob Norris said. "Up-to-date, accurate information on licensing processes will assist newcomers in making informed choices aboutimmigration and employment, and help them settle in our province."
