The Government of Prince Edward Island sent out 143 invitations to Expression of Interest candidates in the Express Entry, Labour Impact and Business Impact categories of its Provincial Nominee Program.
The Express Entry and Labour Impact category saw the most at 133 invitations issued on August 15. That is up 15 invitations from the previous draw on July 18, when 118 invitations were sent out.
PEI Express Entry candidates who obtain a nomination from the province will be awarded 600 additional points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and move to the front of the line for an Invitation To Apply (ITA) through the federal Express Entry selection system.
PEI's Labour Impact Category is for foreign nationals with a valid job offer in the province and support from a PEI employer. Candidates in this category may fall under three possible streams: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker and International Graduate.
The province issued 10 invitations to Business Impact candidates with a minimum score of 112 on the program's points grid. While that figure represents less invitations from the July 18 draw, which sent out a total of 17, the minimum score of 112 has remained consistent since the previous draw on June 20.
PEI accepts Expressions of Interest (EOI) from prospective business applicants under the Work Permit Stream.
All PEI PNP candidates must begin the process of applying to the program by creating an Expression of Interest profile, as well as meet certain eligibility criteria.
