The Government of Prince Edward Island issued 124 invitations to Expression of Interest candidates in the Express Entry, Labour Impact and Business Impact categories of its Provincial Nominee Program in an invitation round that took place on September 20, 2018.
Of the 124 invitations, 116 went to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates. PEI Express Entry candidates who obtain a nomination from the province will be awarded 600 additional points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and move to the front of the line for an Invitation To Apply (ITA) through the federal Express Entry selection system.
PEI's Labour Impact Category is for foreign nationals with a valid job offer in the province and support from a PEI employer. Candidates in this category may fall under three possible streams: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker and International Graduate.
The province issued eight invitations to Business Impact candidates with a minimum score of 152 on the program's points grid. The September 20 draw was the last through the 100% Ownership and Partial Ownership streams, which the province has now closed permanently.
PEI will continue to accept EOIs from prospective business applicants under the Work Permit Stream.
All PEI PNP candidates must begin the process of applying to the program by creating an Expression of Interest profile.
