Canada Lifts Visa Ban For Ebola-Free Liberia

After 42 days with no new cases of Ebola in Liberia, the West African country has been declared Ebola-free, leading Canada to lift a visa ban that was introduced in late October, 2014. This ban halted the processing of visa requests from those in countries experiencing widespread Ebola infections, including Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.


Canadian Experience Class now open for Canadian immigration applicants

As of September 17, 2008, Citizenship and Immigration Canada is accepting applications for the newest category of Canadian immigration, the Canadian Experience Class. This fast-track option for temporary foreign workers and international graduates is a good news story in the Canadian immigration arena, says Canadian immigration lawyer David Cohen. Changes to Canada Immigration Rules Announced

On November 29, 2008, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Canada (CIMC) Minister Jason Kenney announced changes to the way Federal Skilled Worker applications will be processed.
