According to MoneySense Magazine, the capital city of Ottawa is once again voted the most liveable city in Canada, for factors such as quality of schools, housing costs, availability of jobs, and other factors that influence the daily standard of living.

The capital region, which encompasses both the city of Ottawa, Ontario and the bordering city of Gatineau, Quebec, attracts a significant number of immigrants every year, partly due to its high standard of living and partly due to the cultural offerings of the area.

Ottawa ranked at the top of the list for 2007, and 2008, but was temporarily knocked off the highest position by Victoria, British Columbia. However, it regained its spot this year because of its more affordable cost of living.
