The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations to apply to candidates from all Employer Job Offer streams on December 7.
This new round of invitations comes more than a month after the last one held under the Ontario PNP.
The latest invitation round saw a total of 1,186 immigration candidates invited to apply for provincial nomination.
More specifically, the OINP issued invitations to nominees with profiles in its Expression of Interest (EOI) system.
The Foreign Worker stream saw 470 candidates invited in a general draw. Candidates needed to have a minimum EOI score of 37 points.
Another general draw was held under the International Student stream and saw 583 invitations issued to candidates with a minimum score of 62 points.
Lastly, the In-Demand Skills stream saw 53 invitations issued to candidates with skills and experience in the following health, manufacturing and agricultural occupations:
Health and agricultural occupations
Manufacturing occupations (from outside the GTA only)
Three separate draws were also held under these three categories to invite a total of 80 candidates registered to the Regional Immigration Pilot.
The first step is to create a profile on the OINP e-filing portal and register an Expression of Interest (EOI).
It is important to ensure that you are eligible by reading the application requirements for the various streams. The information you provide must be true and accurate at the time of submission. It is however possible for you to update your profile at any time.
When you register an EOI profile, you are entered into a selection pool, similar to Canada's federal Express Entry pool. You will then receive a score based on your responses. Ontario will invite those with the highest scores to apply for provincial nomination.
Ontario holds regular provincial draws to invite the highest-scoring candidates from the EOI applicant pool. If you are invited, you will receive a notification on the portal and will be required to submit your application within 14 calendar days.
