Newfoundland and Labrador will open a new round of expressions of interest for its International Entrepreneurs category in August.

Expressions of Interest will be accepted from August 9, 2019, to August 15, 2019.

This will be the fourth round for potential immigrants who wish to create, co-manage or purchase a business in the province.

The eligibility requirements for this category include an intent to reside permanently in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador as well as the obligation to either start a new business or buy an existing business that they actively co-manage on a daily basis. Further details regarding the eligibility criteria for the program can be found here.

An Expression of Interest is not an application but is rather a way for an individual to notify the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador of his or her interest in being considered for an invitation to apply under the International Entrepreneur category.

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador said its International Graduate Entrepreneur category also remains open to international graduates of Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic who wish to create or co-own and manage a business in the province.

Other noteworthy programs offered by the province include the Express Entry Skilled Worker Program and the International Graduate Program. You can learn more about them here.
