The Canadian visa application center (VAC) in New York City has been closed until further notice. Applications that have already been received by the VAC will continue to be processed.
The Consulate General of Canada in New York has not provided an explanation as to why the VAC has been closed.
The VAC will return passports to individuals who have submitted them to the office. Applicants can still submit applications online, by mail, by drop box or in person. However, in-person applications may take longer to process.
