New P.E.I. programs introduced

the CanadaVisa Team - 11 March, 2011

Prince Edward Island has introduced five new streams into their Provincial Nominee Program, which are active immediately. The Skilled Worker Stream and the Family Connection Stream still remain part of the program.

Applicants who have a low-skilled job offer from a P.E.I. employer can now apply through the new Critical Worker Stream. Truck drivers, customer service representatives, labourers, food and beverage servers, and housekeeping attendants may also apply under this stream.

Applicants who have graduated from a Canadian university or college can apply through the new International Graduate Stream. These applicants must also have worked for a minimum of 6 months in P.E.I. and have a skilled job offer from a P.E.I. employer.

Applicants who have a minimum net worth of $400,000 CDN can apply through one of the three new Business Streams: 100% Ownership Stream, Partial Ownership Stream, or the Work Permit Stream. Applicants who apply through one of the three Business Streams must make a minimum investment in a P.E.I. business and must meet additional requirements.

For more information on the new programs, visit our Prince Edward Island PNP page.
