The Province of New Brunswick will develop a new mentoring program for skilled immigrants coming to the province.
According to the Maytree Foundation, the New Brunswick Multicultural Council has received funding from Citizenship and Immigration Canada to develop the program by March 2010.
The Maytree foundation is a privately-funded charitable foundation that studies policy issues with respect to immigration, diversity, integration and building civic communities. Over the summer, the Maytree Foundation released a detailed report on Canadian immigration and presented recommendations for improving Canadian immigration policy.
