Following the most recent Express Entry draw on September 14, the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score to be eligible for an invitation to apply (ITA) through an Express Entry Program, dropped from 511 at the time of the draw to 510 the next day.

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has confirmed that this was due to a clerical error.

At the time of the draw, before the score decrease was updated on the IRCC website, some were reporting receiving ITAs with scores of 510. IRCC updated its website shortly after.

The draw was an all-program draw meaning candidates in the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) were all eligible to receive an ITA with a high enough CRS score.

It was the sixth draw since all-program draws resumed on July 6 this year. CRS scores have been high compared to pre-pandemic draws which often saw scores of less than 500. The first CRS score in July was 557 and has decreased with each subsequent draw.
