The Manitoba government is being proactive in its search for foreign skilled workers who are qualified to alleviate labour shortages in the province.
Manitoba Labour and Immigration, in cooperation with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and Espace Emploi Internationale (a France employment agency) will be hosting a series of job fairs this coming November in Paris, Lyon, and Brussels. This initiative follows the successful participation of Manitoba employers at job fairs in Germany earlier this year.
The November job fairs will give participating Manitoba employers the chance to recruit temporary foreign workers who have been pre-screened by a reputable non-profit employment agency. The foreign skilled workers who are recruited under this initiative will have the opportunity to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program
Instructions about how Manitoba employers can participate along with requirements of participating employers are listed on the government of Manitoba website.
