Latest Express Entry Draw invites candidates with lowest minimum CRS score since May 1

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has issued 3,600 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates with profiles in Canada's Express Entry system in a draw held on August 20^th, 2019.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for this federal Express Entry draw was 457. All applications with scores above this number received ITAs.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-break rule and the time stamp for the August 20 draw was March 24^th, 2019, at 15:32:42 UTC.

The tie break procedure is a method which the IRCC uses to select all candidates with a CRS of 457 who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool, before the designated tie-break date and time, and issue them Invitations to Apply (ITA) on August 20.

Canada's Express Entry system is the online application management system for three economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Class.

Profiles submitted into the Express Entry pool receive a score out of a maximum 1,200 points based on factors that include age, education, work experience and proficiency in one or both of Canada's official languages (English and French).

Candidates in the Express Entry pool can take steps to improve their score and ranking.

Those invited have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application package to IRCC from the date of receiving an ITA.
