IRCC invites 3,350 Express Entry candidates in the latest federal draw

The Government of Canada has issued 3,350 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates in the Express Entry pool in a draw held March 20.

Express Entry candidates with scores as low as 452 were issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residence in this draw.

Once again, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied the tie-break rule and the time stamp for this draw was February 7, 2019, at 9:59:25 UTC. THis means that all candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 452 and above who submitted an Express Entry profile before that date and time were issued an ITA in the latest invitation round.

Canada's Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for three federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Class.

Express Entry profiles receive a CRS score based factors such as age, education, work experience and language abilities in one or both of Canada's official languages (English and French).

A candidate's CRS score is dynamic, meaning Canadian immigration candidates may take steps to improve their ranking while in the Express Entry pool.

Candidates who receive an ITA have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application to IRCC.
