Newfoundland and Labradoris the latest Canadian province to open up its Provincial Nomination Program to international students who have been studying in this Atlantic province.
International students in Canada are prime candidates for Permanent Residency as they have already settled into Canadian society and have received aCanadian education.
Successful applicants to the Newfoundland and Labrador PNPInternational Graduate Category will receive priority processing on their Canadian Permanent Residency applications.
To qualify for this program, applicants must have graduated, within the past two years, from a recognized Newfoundland and Labrador post-secondaryinstitution. They must have obtained a certificate, diploma, or degree for a program of at least two years in length. They will also need a full-timepermanent job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer (thatis related to their field of study) or have the reasonable expectation of employment in the near future. Applicants must obtain a Post-Graduation Work Permit and have the necessary qualifications andsufficient English or French language ability for the position being offered.
Newfoundland and Labrador is looking for applicants who have established strong ties to the province and intend to settle there permanently.
There are similar international student categories in the Provincial Nomination Programs of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, NovaScotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.
