The Nova Scotia Nominee Program's Labour Market Priorities Stream prioritized French-speaking Express Entry candidates in a new invitation round that took place March 20.
Candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination through the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities were required to have French selected as their first official language and demonstrate a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or high in all French language abilities.
Among other requirements, Express Entry candidates invited on March 20 also had to meet the following criteria:
The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration (NSOI) said candidates invited on March 20 have to provide copies of both language tests and proof of education that demonstrates a bachelor’s degree or higher with their complete application for a Nova Scotia provincial nomination.
If nominated, candidates will obtain an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points and effectively move to the front of the line for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
Candidates who have been issued a Letter of Interest by the NSOI must complete the online application and provide all the required information and attachments before the invitation expires. Letters of Interest remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issuance.
