Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has issued 3,750 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence in the latest Express Entry draw held on July 11. The Comprehensive Ranking System score was 442.

The 'tie-break' rule was once again implemented in this draw. The 'tie-break' time for the draw was June 26, 2018, at 13:18:55 UTC. With the 'tie-break' rule, all candidates with a CRS score above 442, as well as those candidates with scores of 442 who submitted their profile before this specified date and time, received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in this draw.

To enter the Express Entry pool, individuals must first meet the eligibility requirements for one of the three immigration programs managed by the Express Entry system: the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Once in the federal Express Entry pool, candidates receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on 'human capital' factors, such as education, work experience, language ability, and other factors. A candidate's CRS score determines his or her ranking in the pool.

Candidates who received an ITA in the July 16 invitation round have 60 days to submit an application for Canadian permanent residence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
