The Government of British Columbia has invited 358 Skills Immigration and Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in a November 14 invitation round.

Invitations went out to candidates in the Express Entry BC Skilled Workers and Express Entry BC International Graduates categories.

These candidates must have an active profile in Canada's Express Entry system, which manages the profiles of candidates in Canada's three main federal economic immigration categories: the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the Canadian Experience Class.

Express Entry candidates who obtain a provincial nomination will be awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. With these additional points, Express Entry candidates move to the front of the line for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in a future federal draw.

All candidates invited under the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration must have an indeterminate, full-time job offer from an employer in the province.

Candidates who obtained a nomination under the BC PNP Skills Immigration Stream will have their applications for Canadian permanent residence processed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) separate from the Express Entry system.

Individuals interested in applying for immigration to Canada under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry streams must first create an online profile using the BC PNP's online system and submit a complete registration form. Candidate profiles are assessed and assigned a score based on various factors, such as education, work experience and other factors.
