The Toronto Regional Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) recently set up a directory of professional networks for immigrants, to help connect newcomers to jobs in their new environment.
TRIEC, in partnership with settlement.org, a highly regarded resource for newcomers in Ontario, has identified and listed close to 50 different networks that serve over 30,000 immigrants.
According to TRIEC this directory is valuable not only to new immigrants, but also to employers, other immigrant serving agencies, government agencies and professional associations.
This directory was established as part of TRIEC’s Professional Networks for Immigrants project.
